Our Vision
We envision a future where Black individuals and communities thrive in the great outdoors, where every person feels welcome and represented in national parks, and where the conservation and appreciation of our natural heritage are inclusive and equitable for all.
Our Programs
Black in National Parks Week (hosted annually in August)
Founded in August 2020 by Nicole Jackson, Black in National Parks Week is a week-long celebration and awareness campaign dedicated to highlighting the contributions, experiences, and cultural heritage of Black individuals visiting U.S. national parks.
